Born in Victoria (Australia), Joe studied Paramedical Science in the military and continued post military studies in teaching, physical training and medicine.

He is a true ocean adventurer having been brought up full- time freediving since the age of 10, continuing to freedive, sail and surf all over the globe; Australia, New Zealand, Christmas Island, Asia, French Polynesia, Polynesia, Melanesia, Egypt, Central America and the Caribbean.

Joe now runs an ocean safety organisation called One Ocean International which he founded in 2012, his watermanship programs are highly sought after world-wide.

Through interactive, inclusive, professional and proactive ocean awareness services, One Ocean International encourages a strong connection to culture, community and environment to regenerate the ancient culture of the waterman.
