ANNELIE POMPE

Born in Göteborg (Sweden), Annelie studied marine biology, personal training and communications.

She is a professional adventurer having been active in adventure sports as diverse as rock-climbing, mountain biking, surfing, freediving and mountaineering. Annelie was the first Swedish woman to summit Everest from the north side and she completed her seven summits in January 2016.

As a competitive freediver Annelie set a variable weight world record to 126 m while in constant weight down with a monofin and back up again she dived to 98 m. Recently Annelie has swopped competitive freediving for full-time exploration, guiding and capturing her adventures through compelling photographs and sharing stories.

She is a sought after motivational speaker, published her book ‘Incredibly high and extremely deep’ in Swedish in 2015 and has led numerous trips to Everest base camp and Kilimanjaro amongst others. Annelie is passionate about living life to the fullest and seeing others live beyond their fear. As an instructor she is compassionate, patient and inspiring.
